The verdict of the Tile of Spain Awards 2025 took place on the 21st of November at ASCER’s headquarters, chaired by the architect Julio Touza Rodríguez. Martin Lejarraga, Carmen Baselga, Antonio Jesús Luna y Susana Babiloni contributed their share as spokespersons in the jury gathered in Castellón.
On this occasion, the Architecture category granted its main awards to Casa Marratxí by Casas inHAUS, valued for the clear integration of ceramic material within an industrialised construction system, where a single ceramic element reinforces the modular character of the house. Likewise, Intervenciones en el Monasterio de Santa María de Sijena by Pemán y Franco Arquitectos together with Sebastián Arquitectos was recognised for the restrained elegance of its approach and the subtle ceramic paving that enriches the restored monastic space.
The jury also decided to award two honourable mentions in Architecture: Pabellón Ferrobús by EOVASTUDIO, highlighted for the expressive ceramic lattice made with large-format extruded stoneware, and El Camino de la Almazara by CARPE Studio, Miguel Hernández Alonso and Piano Piano Studio, valued for its sensitive integration of ceramics into the landscape.
In the TFM category, the first prize went to Manos Cerámicas by Manuel Alexander Fustamante Mori, noted for its tribute to local ceramic heritage and its proposal to revitalise the village of Los Loros. An honourable mention was granted to Garoé by Marta Morato Costa, appreciated for its discreet and poetic bond with the natural environment.
